A couple sharing a kiss in the middle of the street were ploughed into by a speeding drunk driver. One of the pair died after the crash in Heze City in East China’s Shandong Province in the early hours. They seem to have been arguing as the woman tries to get away from the man, but he chases her into the street. Once he reaches her the two are seen embracing and then kissing, still in the road. Cars move around the pair but one car slams into them sending them flying into the air.
The alleged driver, surnamed as Zhang, speeds off after the pair have flipped over his car. He is said to have continued driving until he was caught by authorities hours later. Other drivers called the police and both people were rushed to hospital by paramedics. One of them is said to have died after attempts to revive them failed, but it is not known if the man or woman survived. The police confirmed that Zhang tested well over the legal drinking limit and now faces manslaughter charges as well as punishment for fleeing the crime scene.
Earlier this year a man who killed his wife after driving into a canal as the couple had sex while he was high on drugs and drunk was sentenced to five years in prison.
